Aero India is Asia's premier beiennial air show held in Bangalore at the
Yelahanka Air Force Base. Started in 1996 by Ministry of Defence, India, Aero
India attracts hundreds of exhibitors that include leading industries in the
field of civil and military aviation, aerospace and airfield upgrade. The show
includes both air displays and static exhibitions of a wide variety of military
and civil aircrafts from leading manufactures, vendors and suppliers. The Indian
Air Force also displays its various aircrafts. A total of 80 aircrafts,
including the world-renowned MIG-29 M-2 from Russia, MIRAGE from France, Hawks
from Britain and Jaguar from the European Union, displayed their power and
capability in the 5th Aero India 2005.
A record 380 companies, including the majority of the leading global military
and civil aircraft makers, participated in the 5th Aero India 2005 Show, held in
Bangalore. Aero India 2005 registered a significant increase in terms of
participation by the Indian and foreign companies and the overall exhibition
area as compared to Aero India 2003. The 6th Aero India 2007 is expecting much
larger participation compared to Aero India 2005, and the Defence Exhibition
Organization is fully prepared to take up the challenge and make the show a
grand success. |

The Aero India Show attracts leading
industries in the field of civil and military aviation,
aerospace and airfield upgrade. Almost all aviation and
aerospace industry leaders in the world, including the
Boeing, EADS, Lockheed Martin, Rosoboronexport, Dassault
etc. participate in Aero India. In addition, a large
cross section of industries involved in making vital
components for aircraft engines, avionics, systems,
sub-systems, airfield radars etc. also display their
latest technology and products. |

Among prominent attendees of Aero
India Shows include the top decision makers from the
India's Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces
Headquarters, Members of Council of Ministers, Defence
Research and Development Organization (DRDO), India
Space Research Organization (ISRO), Military delegations
from other countries, and end users in the civil
aviation and airport maintenance sector. Over 125,000
people attended the 5th Aero India 2005 and enjoyed the
display of 80 aircrafts at the show. The 6th Aero India
2007, scheduled on February 7-11, 2007, is expected to
grow in stature as a major aviation exhibition. The Aero
India 2007 is expecting much bigger participation in
terms of participant companies, aircrafts and attendees.
